“Feelings,” is an exploration of the many faces of trauma, grief and anxiety in the experience of baby loss and infertility. From the iconic neon smiley that resurfaced in the rave scene in the 1990s, Stacey creates an expanded emoji vocabulary that features a variety of expressions from grief to frustration and disbelief. Her neck piece with interchangeable metal faces allows the wearer to have a sense of empowerment by expressing themselves in ways that feel safe to them.

Stacey Hill is a contemporary jewelry artist based in Manchester. She combines traditional hand-making skills with precious and non-precious materials such as silver, gold, brass and plastics. Her work is influenced by subcultures, pop and street culture.
