“The Masks We Wear” is an “ode to the queer community and the many masks we’ve had to wear throughout history, in order to protect ourselves. In order to stay alive.” Erick and Mikhail of Wolfe+Huntr shared how hiding their true selves was a form of protection, and now in their work, a canvas for their creative expression. Wolfe+Huntr is run by Erick Perez and Mikhail Quijano. Growing up in the Marikina and Lower-Antipolo area, they were naturally drawn to its homegrown leather craft industry. What began as a hobby in creating handcrafted leather items, has now evolved into a full-fledged designer brand. Wolfe+Huntr closely collaborates with Marikina’s leather artisans. The brand’s clean and classic style is punctuated with the right amount of wild.
